Used GE Logiq V2 Ultrasound
A portable general-imaging system where the probes you get matter far more than the console you get.
The GE Logiq V2 is a portable general-imaging ultrasound system used for vascular access, musculoskeletal work, abdominal and general point-of-care imaging. It is light enough to move between rooms and capable enough to serve as a practice's primary system, which is why it appears steadily on the used market as facilities consolidate or step up to cart-based platforms.
Buying one used comes down to a single question that has almost nothing to do with the console.
The probes are the purchase
Transducers routinely cost more together than the system they plug into. A Logiq V2 sold with one probe and a Logiq V2 sold with three are not variations on the same purchase; they are different transactions with very different arithmetic. Before anything else, establish exactly which transducers are included, by model number.

Ask for photographs of each probe's lens face and cable, not just the connector. Lens delamination and cable strain are the two failure modes that turn an included probe into a replacement purchase.

Known failure points
Probe lens and cable damage. The dominant cost. Cracks, delamination, and cable kinking near the strain relief all degrade image quality and none are repairable cheaply.
Battery capacity. Portable systems live on their batteries. An aged battery means a system that must stay plugged in, which removes the reason you bought a portable in the first place.
Screen and hinge wear. Portables get carried, and hinges and screen bezels show it. Cosmetic in most cases, but check that the display has no pressure marks or dead regions.
Licensed software packages. Measurement packages and applications are tied to the machine. Confirm which are enabled rather than which the platform supports.
Connector pins. Inspect probe connectors for bent or missing pins — a common and easily missed defect on units that have been shipped repeatedly.
Pre-purchase inspection checklist
- Get every included transducer listed by model number, in writing
- Ask for photographs of each probe's lens face and full cable run
- Confirm which measurement and application packages are enabled
- Ask about battery age and whether it holds a working charge
- Confirm the power supply, cart or case, and any printer are included
- Check probe connector pins for damage
- Confirm export and DICOM capability if you need to move studies
- Ask for exported sample images rather than photographs of the screen
