The Dräger Fabius GS is an anesthesia workstation — the machine that delivers and controls anesthetic gases and ventilation during surgery. Known failure points

Missing or mismatched vaporizers. The most common and most expensive gap.

Flow sensor wear. Consumable. Expect to replace and budget for it.

Ventilator self-test failures. Ask whether the machine passes its own self-test end to end, and treat anything less than a clear yes as a finding.

Battery condition. Ask about battery age and how long the machine holds up without mains power.

Absorber and circuit completeness. Confirm what actually ships.

Software generation. Determines available modes and monitoring integration.
